ED, Bengaluru has conducted search operations at 17 locations related to Seat Blocking Scam in private engineering colleges in Bengaluru on 25.06.2025 and 26.06.2025 at the office premises of BMS College of Engineering, Akash Institute of Engineering and Technology, New Horizon College of Engineering and persons associate with these institutions under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 and at the premises of few entities engaged in educational consultancy services and some private agents associated with the scam. The search proceedings have revealed evidences with respect to widespread seat blocking and use of cash/money in admission process in popular professional courses in the private institutes. During the search operations, various incriminating documents, digital devices and cash to the tune of Rs. 1.37 Crore (approx.) have been found and seized. |

ईडी, बेंगलुरु ने 25.06.2025 और 26.06.2025 को बेंगलुरु के निजी इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजों में सीट ब्लॉकिंग घोटाले से संबंधित 17 स्थानों पर तलाशी अभियान चलाया है। इसमें बीएमएस कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग, आकाश इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग एंड टेक्नोलॉजी, न्यू होराइजन कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग के कार्यालय परिसर और इन संस्थानों से जुड़े व्यक्तियों के परिसर में पीएमएलए, 2002 के प्रावधानों के तहत और शैक्षिक परामर्श सेवाओं में लगी कुछ संस्थाओं और घोटाले से जुड़े कुछ निजी एजेंटों के परिसरों में तलाशी अभियान चलाया गया। तलाशी की कार्यवाही में निजी संस्थानों में लोकप्रिय व्यावसायिक पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश प्रक्रिया में बड़े पैमाने पर सीट ब्लॉकिंग और नकदी/धन के उपयोग के संबंध में सबूत सामने आए हैं। तलाशी अभियान के दौरान, विभिन्न आपत्तिजनक दस्तावेज, डिजिटल डिवाइस और 1.37 करोड़ रुपये (लगभग) की नकदी मिली और उसे जब्त कर लिया गया। |
